My name is Jim Tracy, former manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers (2001-2005), Pittsburgh Pirates (2006-2007), and the Colorado Rockies (2009-20012). I had the honor and the pleasure to work with Todd Clausen in Los Angeles over the course of a 7-year period. We met in 1999, both as members of the Dodger organization. Todd was beginning as the strength and conditioning coach, and at the time, I had been hired to be the Dodger bench coach under Davey Johnson. I had the opportunity to observe Todd and his work in a lesser capacity over the course of those 2 years. Upon being named the manager of the Dodgers in the fall of 2000, one of my first orders of business was to retain Todd Clausen as the strength and conditioning coach. Our relationship grew and got stronger during our time together in Los Angeles, and Todd was with me as a staff member all five years that I was there as manager.
He had tremendous success with the players during that 5 year period and was a part of a 5 year run with the Dodgers that included 2 90+ win seasons and a divisional championship in 2004. In all, the players under his tutelage went a combined 44 games over .500 during those 5 years.
I would strongly recommend that any that would be so interested should take advantage of what Todd has to offer not only with his baseball academy program itself, but all of his 1st-hand knowledge of game experiences that he has been exposed to with major league players over those years. Your child can do nothing but gain from involving himself in a program that has all of this to offer.

Todd’s ability as a sports trainer is one of a kind! He helps athletes develop their skills as well as self-confidence with seemingly little effort. His regimen was well thought out and encouraged participation. Todd made our training sessions interesting and very effective. As an athlete, I am lucky to have met and benefited from Todd’s experience, knowledge, and expert techniques. Anyone who has ever worked with Todd Clausen understands this fact. Over my 14-year major league career, I never met a person that did a better job of preparing athletes to compete. Todd’s understanding of the position-specific demands on each player allows him to create a precise, detailed program that prepares each athlete for the field. Whether you’re playing little league or big league ball, knowing that you’ve prepared yourself to the best of your ability will make a difference on the diamond. Todd Clausen made that difference for me.
