Wyatt Clark (Blue Springs South High School, 2021) began his playing career as a catcher and last year changed his focus to pitching. The switch is paying off for the right-hander: his fastball is working up to 90 MPH, topping out at 89 at the 2020 Premier Baseball Winter College Showcase, and his curveball shows tight spin with late break. His performance this summer earned him an offer to play at his dream school, the University of Central Missouri.

Charlie Roder, Rockhurst 2020 graduate, began playing with Inside Edge Baseball Academy when he was 14. Since then, the left-handed pitcher has enjoyed a remarkable career that gave him the opportunity to play at many of the top universities in Kansas and Missouri. His efforts culminated in an offer to play baseball at Drury University. We sat down with him to learn more about his recruiting experience and his plans for the future.

Gabe Howayek graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 2019, and after playing three seasons with IE, is starting his first season playing baseball at Coffeyville Community College. The infielder shares what playing at Inside Edge meant to him and his development as a baseball player.
Player Profile – Dave Silvestri
Dave Silvestri is recognized as the greatest shortstop to play baseball at Mizzou. His efforts earned him first-team all-American awards in 1987 and 1988. In 1988, he was also the starting shortstop on the U.S. Olympic team that won the gold medal at the Seoul Summer Games. His storied career continued after playing for three seasons at Mizzou when the Houston Astros drafted him. He played at the Major League level with the Yankees, Expos, Rangers, Rays, and Angels. After his playing career, Silvestri was a manager in the Tampa Bay Rays organization and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

Grant Geren is an all-around amazing athlete. In addition to setting the stolen bases record at Blue Springs South (2019) and being selected an All-Conference All-District, and All-State baseball player his senior year, he also runs a 4.3 40-yard dash in football.
